Waterfront Seattle

Waterfront Seattle is a partnership between the City of Seattle and the entire community to create a dynamic public waterfront covering 26 city blocks from King Street to Broad Street. The waterfront’s transformation is made possible by the need to replace both the Alaskan Way Viaduct and the deteriorating seawall. The project, a large-scale design process building on ten years of public planning, will create vibrant public and cultural spaces, access to the water, and a new urban street that will accommodate all modes of travel and provide an important connection in Seattle’s transportation system.

Waterfront Seattle will set a new standard for public access and participation in the decision making process, with the goal of creating a “Waterfront for All.”

S&A was retained to conduct outreach to traditionally underrepresented populations in coordination with overall outreach efforts and to support the project’s outreach to the general public.
