Josh Stepherson is the founder and principal of Stepherson & Associates Communications.

For more than 17 years, Josh has engaged communities, key stakeholder groups and civic leaders around high profile and sometimes controversial issues and projects. He has a history of proactive project management that results in first-rate public involvement outcomes provided on time and within budget. Josh understands the importance of informing and engaging the public and specific stakeholder groups while at the same time keeping projects moving forward.

Chris Hoffman

Email

Chris Hoffman has 15 years' experience designing and managing public involvement programs and facilitating groups with diverse interests on a broad range of issues. Skilled at translating technical information into language the public can understand, he enjoys conducting one-on-one outreach with businesses and other stakeholder groups. Chris has led public involvement programs on some of the region’s largest and most complex transportation and construction projects and offers specific experience supporting SEPA/NEPA documentation.

Kristin Anderson

For 13 years Kristin has worked on behalf of public sector clients throughout Puget Sound, creating and implementing engagement strategies that keep groups focused and projects moving forward. She is a tested project manager who has led outreach efforts for numerous land use, natural resources, water, transportation and public utilities projects and for processes ranging from visioning and planning to design and construction. Inspired by collaborative efforts that improve our communities, Kristin is also an accomplished facilitator who helps participants identify common goals, build respectful working relationships, and reach consensus.

Bob Derry

Bob's background in communications, commitment to public participation, and longtime interest in public infrastructure have supported his work at S&A since 2007 and previously as a technical consultant on projects affecting Seattle’s neighborhoods. He has worked with the City of Seattle to secure pedestrian friendly, transit-oriented zoning changes, has drafted and successfully advocated for an amendment to the Seattle Comprehensive Plan, and is the author of creative legislative zoning changes. At S&A, he has led construction communications and outreach efforts for a host of transportation projects.

Natalie Graves

Natalie Graves has more than seven years’ experience in community outreach and stakeholder engagement with local and state projects. Her work spans multiple sectors and includes leading outreach efforts for a major state transportation project, stakeholder engagement with the Port of Seattle, and communicating complex environmental issues to communities across Washington State. Natalie excels at translating highly technical information into approachable and easy-to-understand content for the public. Always thinking ahead, her strong planning skills and attention to detail have led to a multitude of successful community events, open houses, and stakeholder briefings. Natalie values individual interactions with community members, whether a personal phone call or door-to-door visit; she is eager to hear the public’s input and use it to shape a project.

Kate Reizner

Kate has more than six years’ experience in communications and stakeholder engagement and a background in community and regional development. She offers particular expertise in the development and implementation of internal outreach and communications programs and brings a strong facility for establishing and managing clear processes to get work done. Kate applies a sharp eye for detail when managing a project, writing communications materials, or providing strategic oversight for large-scale events. She is a natural communicator who enjoys building relationships and collaborating with clients and the public to reach mutually beneficial outcomes.

Marjorie Skotheim

Marjorie brings to Stepherson & Associates extensive experience in communications and public affairs gained in government, political, and agency settings. Her sensitivity to language and strategic objectives, in addition to exceptional skills as a writer and editor, give her a role in the development of messaging and materials for all our clients. In addition to enthusiasm for projects that benefit Seattle (where her family roots go back a century) and for the value added to them by public participation, Marjorie offers strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.

Michael Charles

Michael has eight years of outreach and communications experience in government, political, non-profit, and volunteer organization settings. He has managed communications efforts for Seattle-based candidates and elected officials and has worked with intergovernmental affairs, communications, and policy teams on major countywide initiatives and campaigns. Michael’s experience drafting communications plans, developing materials, planning and executing events, and reporting results is well supported by on-the-ground outreach experience in neighborhoods throughout and beyond Seattle. Michael also brings specialized expertise in equity and social justice outreach and programs.

Lynn Pasley

Over her long career, Lynn has been an indispensable design team member for creative studios, print shops and corporate in-house creative departments. Her portfolio reflects in-depth experience producing print, web and social media projects for clients ranging from startups to Fortune 100 companies. Lynn has excellent design sensibilities and a discriminating eye for detail and typographic excellence. As the S&A senior graphic designer, Lynn is well versed in client brand standards and creates attractive and easily understood infographics, websites, mailers, brochures, fact sheets, display boards, presentations, and more.

Kendra Hale

Kendra Hale is a communications specialist with a background in public relations and public affairs. She provides community outreach and communications support for planning, design and construction projects throughout the city of Seattle and surrounding communities. She is skilled in documenting and responding to stakeholder comments, door-to-door outreach, event planning, and content preparation for materials and websites. Kendra offers familiarity with local government that has included constituent outreach and correspondence and the development of communications materials and tactics that help reach broad and diverse audiences.
