S&A is leading a multi-year public involvement effort to engage County employees, vendors, customers, and the public in the decision-making process to address short- and long-term facility and operational space needs. This involves supporting steering groups and surveys to ensure transparent, inclusive, and culturally appropriate public involvement, fostering community “buy-in” for key decisions.

As consultant support to the County, we have developed a comprehensive and equitable engagement plan that is reflective of community needs and vision for stakeholders, including King County employees, customers, other agencies, law enforcement, residents, businesses and commuters. Early engagement has included a steering group and series of surveys focused on guiding principles, vision and priorities.

The team continues to develop and refine a range of strategic approaches for how to improve county facilities and public spaces, provide connections to nearby neighborhoods, and pay for these needed investments. This includes additional future opportunities for residents, employees, and other stakeholders to engage with the project, receive more information and provide their feedback.
